Amino Assets by Zeitguised

November 23rd, 2009 by ntimm

Amino Assets from zeitguised on Vimeo.

Amino Assets blends lo-fi box geometries with hi-res textures, global illumination and artificial linear 3D/parallax camera movements. It illustrates the creative process of database design or designing things without a preconception: while browsing through databases of images, the creative combination of tags leads to unexpected findings. on the production end, this results in the recombination of images previously not considered to be in the same category. Our own version of imagineering.

Work featured at the ZEITGUISED solo exhibition ‘CONSTRUCTING’ at fluctuating images in Stuttgart, Germany. Featured in dotmov 2006.

Length: 1 min
Sound: Michael Fakesch (Web Edit), Asli Serbest & Mona Mahall (Art: Constructing Edit)

Levi van Veluw : Landscape, Dots et Material Transfer

November 3rd, 2009 by msalou

Oskar Fischinger > stopmotion from 1934, in color.

November 2nd, 2009 by ntimm

Oskar Fischinger > Muratti Greift ein! (Germany, 1934)

Fischinger developed a complicated stop-motion technique to show the cigarettes played sports, capitalizing on the Olympic fever in Berlin.

Oskar Fischinger > Composition in blue (Germany, 1935)

This is an abstract film in which every motion is in strict synchronization with music, so the description must be read in terms of the overall impression it gives.

OSKAR FISCHINGER is one of the most important (and lately overlooked) avant-garde animator and painter.
An article from the Tate etc. UK summarizes Fischinger’s filmography very well.
