During last Art Basel (number 40) which was held in Switzerland, June 2009, Swiss designers ZMIK were asked to transform the cloakroom into an artshop. Their work focused on guiding visitors from ground entrance to the upper level design boutique. A really simple use of design to efficiently catch customers attention.

SOUNDWALK a été crée en 1998 par l’artiste Stephan Crasneanscki et l’entrepreneur Alex Kummerman. On leur doit notamment l’audio tour de la magnifique installation mobile SOUNDSCAPE réalisée l’année dernière pour CHANEL et qui devait présenter des dizaines d’oeuvres d’artistes contemporains à travers les grandes métropoles de la mode (opération arrêtée en cours de route pour cause de crise économique mondiale). Le travail de Sounwalk c’est de produire de nouvelles plates-formes d’expression pour les marques et notamment de se concentrer sur le son. Une de leur dernière création SOUNDWALK réalisé pour Philippe Starck (ah ouais), offre 24h non stop de musique. À tester ici en live et ici pour votre meilleur ami avec un pomme sur le dos.

Un concept tellement simple, mais tellement prenant et imagé ; Publicis > Kings and Queens of the jungle. Random + fullscreen + gore can’t go wrong.

UNIQLO the japanese textile company who already offered us the amazing uniqlock website has opened its latest megastore in Nishi-Shinjyuku, Tokyo, Japan. The project was completed by japanese design studio Curiosity. The design concept makes the boutique disappear to enhance clothes colors. It’s good to have a break in an overexposed by advertising world isn’t it ?
